Sobi Clinical Scholarship
THANZ is committed to supporting academic excellence and encouraging scholarly achievement for haematology trainees undertaking a Fellowship at Centres of Excellence in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis. The THANZ Sobi Scholarship is top-up funding and will be awarded based on academic merit and the proposed fellowship program. Applications for Scholarships open early in the academic year. Successful applicant(s) will receive a stipend of $15,000 AUD annually, for up to 2 years.
The THANZ Sobi Clinical Scholarship is open to advanced haematology trainees undertaking a fellowship in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis at a recognised Centre of Excellence. While applications for local Centres of Excellence are welcome, preference will be given to candidates undertaking fellowships outside of their country of residence to support trainees gaining exposure to diverse healthcare systems and unique clinical or research environments unavailable within their country. To be eligible to apply for the THANZ Sobi Clinical Scholarship, applicants must be an advanced trainee in haematology and can apply for the Scholarship in the year prior to their proposed fellowship.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be an advanced haematology trainee
- Hold a confirmed placement for a fellowship at a Centre of Excellence
- Be a member of THANZ.
- Provide a report to THANZ upon completion of their fellowship
