Sobi supports this $2,000 travel grant which is awarded to the author of the best abstract submitted to Blood or the Scientific Workshop by an THANZ member who is under 35 years of age. The THANZ Sobi Award was presented for the first time in 2024.

The inaugral Sobi grant was awarded to Rowena Brook, (Northern Health, Vic) for her abstract Multimodal cardiovascular risk prediction model in diabetes –incorporation of global coagulation assays outperforms HbA1c and Framingham Risk Score
